Robert Harden, MD - Advancing Mental Health Care Across Texas

Dr. Robert Harden is a psychiatrist with more than four decades of experience treating children, adolescents, and adults. Known for his clinical expertise and leadership in psychiatric medicine, he has made significant contributions to mental health services across Texas. Throughout his career, Dr. Robert Harden has combined private practice, hospital leadership, academic fellowship, and consulting roles, shaping the psychiatric landscape with a commitment to excellence and patient-centered care.

Dr. Robert Harden began his medical journey at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where he completed a flexible internship from 1980 to 1981. His early service included working as a lieutenant in the U.S. Public Health Service at a community health clinic in Greenville, Texas, where he practiced general medicine from 1981 to 1983. These formative years laid the foundation for his lifelong dedication to addressing both medical and psychiatric needs within diverse communities.

From 2000 to 2015, Dr. Harden worked with the Denton State Supported Living Center, first serving as a consulting psychiatrist. In October 2023, he founded RJH Psychiatric Consulting, PA, and began consulting with Compassionate Psychiatric Services, where he continues to evaluate patients, supervise licensed providers, and uphold high standards of care.
